How to Use Video to Set the Tone of Your Business

One of the things that we love most about marketing small businesses like yours is to set the tone of the business with video.
Often we get caught up in the “what we do” in our business and talk about those things in the conversations that we have with potential customers either in real life or with our videos.
But people are attracted to the way you do things more than what you do.
Simon Sinek has an amazing TED talk and followed it up with his best-selling book Start With Why. He reasons that people don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it. He uses examples like Apple and how they created a global brand but this same concept works for small, community businesses like yours too.
So, how do you do this with your videos?
Make sure that you show and tell your viewers why you do what you do. If you are a retailer, service business, restaurant or any other small business, your customer can figure out what you do before they decide to visit you.
But if you can help them understand why you do it, they are far more likely to spend their time to see if your business is the right place for them.
